Enrichment at Heart
Heart Christian Academy strives to provide opportunities on our Two-Day campuses that move beyond the basic academics.
Our students enjoy attending Chapel at the beginning of each month.
Our student-led Chapel includes a time of worship and devotion, followed by mentor teachers honoring students with Character Awards based on their growth in different areas. Parents are always encouraged to attend and take part in this monthly time of fellowship.
Below is a sample of events Heart students have enjoyed in the past:
On our campuses, students celebrate the holidays of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter with parent-organized parties in their classrooms.
Families also enjoy special days to honor Mom and Dad, and students enjoy fun-filled themed-dress days throughout the year. Themes might include 50’s Day, Crazy Hair/Socks Day, Sports Day, etc.
Our students are offered a yearbook each academic year, including their yearly individual photo as well as utilizing event-oriented pictures submitted by families. These are organized in part by a parent as part of their campus Heart of Service, alongside of a yearbook coordinator. We also host yearly photos of both the individual student as well as the classes by grade, similar to the traditional yearbook experience.
Local field trips are available to Heart students and their families, usually reflecting or enhancing our Literature, History, and Science studies or simply designed to build community! All field trips are organized by local volunteers and are optional, but add an enriching element to the homeschool experience.
