_Welcome to HEART Christian Academy!

While many families feel called to invest more fully in their children's discipleship and education through home schooling, the task seems daunting.

What are the legal implications? What is the best curriculum? What about "socialization"?
Since 1999, HEART Academy has partnered with parents in South Orange County to not only make home schooling understandable, but a truly viable alternative to traditional schooling options.

H.E.A.R.T stands for Home Education And Righteousness Training. HEART Christian Academy is a Christian cooperative home school group designed to provide support and structure for our approximately 200 enrolled students. While parents serve as their children's primary instructor, we offer educational services, accountability and enrichment programs to aid in the quality of the home school experience.

To achieve our goal of supporting home schooling parents, HEART Christian Academy provides two distinct collaborative educational models.

Two Day Program

Children in our two day program spend either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday of each week in grade-level classes at our Ocean Hills Church campus. As their children’s primary instructor, the parent teaches at home on the remaining three days of the week. Using HEART Christian Academy’s curriculum lists, the on-campus classroom instructor for each grade creates lesson plans for use throughout the week. In this unique program, the parent and the on-campus instructor work as a team to provide a multi-faceted learning experience.

Home School Satellite Program (HSP)

Our Homeschool Satellite Program (HSP) provides the same state-required legal covering as our Two Day Program but students are educated by the parent at home full time. Additionally, HEART Christian Academy’s HSP families receive the guidance and support of a Master Teacher, the option of using our curriculum lists and lesson plans, and the ability to participate in a host of extra-curricular opportunities.

HEART Christian Academy files an affidavit with the state of California each year and is classified as a Private School Satellite Program in which, regardless of the program chosen, each student’s education is provided by or under the direction of their parents.
